1. Purpose

This Fair Use Policy ensures that all Senshin users enjoy a reliable, high-performance experience. It defines the usage limits associated with each plan tier and explains how we enforce them.

2. Plan limits

Duration14 daysOngoingOngoing

Projects3UnlimitedUnlimited
Storage1 GB workspace5 GB per paid seat, pooled50 GB pooled, then contract
AI calls / day50Unlimited (fair use)Unlimited

3. Soft and hard limits

Soft limit (80%): When you reach 80% of any resource limit, you will see a warning in the app. No functionality is blocked.

Hard limit (100%): When you reach 100%, the specific action is blocked (e.g. creating a new project, making an AI call). Existing data is never affected.

We allow brief spikes above hard limits during peak usage. If sustained overuse is detected, we will notify you before taking any action.

4. AI usage

Each paid seat includes £2 of AI use per calendar month — the same figure the product meters. A trial has a £2 ceiling across the whole 14-day window, not a fresh monthly pot.

Below the line, Sensei answers as requested. Near the line it steps down to a cheaper model. At the line it stops calling a paid model and the built-in deductions still answer. We do not silently bill extra AI. Extra credit is charged only if you buy it.

The workspace ceiling is £2 multiplied by paid seats. The OpenRouter key also has a spend fuse Alex sets on the OpenRouter dashboard — the app cannot set that fuse itself.

Enterprise AI is agreed in the contract rather than this page.

5. Storage

Senshin is not a storage place. Working evidence is the original files you ingest or file on a project, generated packs, and export zips. Project data (RAID items, activities, people, finance records) does not count. Demo and seed files do not count. Files you have removed no longer count.

Professional storage is 5 GB per paid seat, pooled at the workspace. Trial is 1 GB. Enterprise is 50 GB pooled, then agreed in the contract.

At 80% you see a warning and Sensei offers files to let go (closed programmes first; you can inspect largest, oldest, and least used). At 100% ingest and upload are blocked until you remove files. We never auto-delete. Removing a file stops the bill; it does not un-ingest the plan rows it seeded.

If you need more working room rather than letting files go, an evidence pack adds 10 GB for £6 per month at the workspace. That is a relief valve, not a drive. Closed programmes older than 90 days surface so years-old PIDs do not sit on the bill by default.

6. API rate limits

API requests are rate-limited per user to ensure platform stability. Rate limits are enforced per minute. If you exceed the limit, you will receive a 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Wait and retry.

7. Enforcement

We enforce limits in the following order:

  1. Warning: In-app notification at 80% of any limit.
  2. Soft block: Action blocked at 100% with upgrade prompt.
  3. Grace period: Short spikes are tolerated without penalty.
  4. Notification: If sustained overuse continues, we email you with options.
  5. Account review: Only in extreme cases of abuse (automated scraping, API flooding).

We will never delete your data due to plan limits. If you downgrade, existing data is preserved but you cannot create new items beyond the lower limit.
