Platform › Finance and benefits

Will the money hold, and does the case still stack up?

A project is green when it lands on time, within the money, with the benefits it was approved for. Senshin keeps the finance on the same record as the plan and the risks, so you can answer all three from one place.

Senshin portfolio finance page showing approved budget, spend, forecast and variance for three sample projects
Portfolio finance on the sample projects: budget, spend, forecast and variance. Sample data, not a real customer.

Budget, spend and forecast where the plan is

Each project carries its approved budget, what has been spent, the forecast at completion and the variance. The portfolio view adds them up across every project and flags the ones forecast to overrun.

A data quality score shows how complete the numbers are and which project would sharpen them most.

Benefits and the investment case

Record the benefits a project is meant to deliver and Senshin works out NPV, IRR, payback period and ROI from them, against the project's cost. The business case sits on the record with an approval trail.

This is what moves the conversation from status reporting to whether the change is still worth doing.

Finance feeds the reports

The Weekly, the SteerCo pack and the finance room report read the same figures. Change the forecast once and every report follows.

Frequently asked questions

Does Senshin replace our finance system?

No. It holds the project's budget, spend, forecast and benefits so the PM can manage them. Your ledger stays where it is; you can import a budget spreadsheet.

Which investment measures does it calculate?

NPV, IRR, payback period and ROI, from the benefits and costs on the project record.

Can I test a cut in budget?

Yes. The What if screen includes 'We have less money', and it does not change your live plan until you press Keep.
